An Event to Benefit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation
We are super excited to announce that Western Fire Resources is hosting a benefit for the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (https://wffoundation.org/) at the historic Palace Theater in beautiful Canadian, Texas on Saturday, 13 May 2023 at 4:30 PM. The highlight will be the TEXAS PREMIER of "Compassion Spreads Like Wildfire - The Vicki Minor Story". This short docudrama tells the story of Vicki Minor, the founder of the WFF, a non-profit organization that provides much needed support to wildland firefighters and their families when affected by line of duty injuries or fatalities. In addition to the opportunity to see this film with fellow firefighters before its World Premier, there will be raffle prizes and a silent auction benefiting the Foundation. Come down and show your support for Vicki and the WFF. Film-maker Scott Briggs will be there to introduce his film and to answer questions. If you cannot attend in person, I want to ask 2 favors of you, (1) please spread the word with every wildland firefighter you know so we can pack the theater and (2) please consider becoming a member of the WFF's 52 Club.
